Hardware Installation and Internet Connection
Electrical Installation
Refer to EVSE & Accessory User manuals for installation instructions. You can find those here: https://www.noodoe.com/downloads
There are two items we always recommend confirming:
- Correct breaker size is used
- Before commissioning, power is on
Connectivity
LTE/Cellular/4G
In most cases, SIM card activation is handled by Noodoe, and the station should connect automatically when powered on. If the SIM card needs replaced, you can find SIM card replacement guides here: SIM Replacement Guides
WiFi/Ethernet
If you are connecting your station to Wi-Fi, follow the steps in the relevant User Manual, or visit Hardware Support for station-specific guides.
If you are having trouble connecting to a network, follow these steps in Station Networking Troubleshooting - Basics
Firmware
If after installing and activating, there are still issues or the station is showing error codes, a firmware update may be necessary. Please Submit a Request to Noodoe Support if this is the case.
EV OS Software Onboarding
Create a CPO
For new organizations being added to EV OS for the first time, we recommend creating a new CPO in the relevant CPO or group. Follow the guide for Creating Sites and Project Codes, and choose CPO when EV OS asks the entry type. For more details on entry types, reference Introduction to Entry Types and Which One Should You Create?
Create Role(s) and User(s)
Once the CPO is created, you can create EV OS Users using the guide here: Creating Users and Roles
NOTE: Once a CPO and users are created, please notify Noodoe Support so we can enable the correct features for these users.
Create a Site
To create a new charging site, follow the steps here: Creating Sites and Project Codes
Commissioning the Stations
Scan the QR code on one of the stations, and using the Project Code generated above, follow the guide here to Commission the chargers at the site: Commissioning your Charging Site
For Stations without a QR code pre-installed, reference the relevant Commissioning Manual for your station.
After successful commissioning, stations will be available under Assets > Station List
Profile and Revenue Setup
When logging in to EV OS for the first time, we recommend filling in Profile Information and connecting Stripe so they can start receiving payment right away. There is a full guide here: Revenue Split Setup (Stripe) for your CPO
Payment Settings
We also recommend adjusting payment setting such as Preauthorization and Taxes for the CPO.
Pricing Setup
Once the stations are commissioned, they will have a default price, but if you would like to adjust this, you can change pricing in EV OS under Site Directory > Select Site > Pricing Tab > Configure pricing by charger type. There is a full guide here: Pricing Setup for Sites and Stations
