These are related to the station's "status" as defined by the J1772 protocol. See below for a synopsis of each status:
Status | Description |
Available | Charging station is online and no vehicle is plugged in. |
Preparing | Charging connector has been plugged in and the vehicle is ready to charge, but the station is waiting for the next step. "Preparing" typically appears when drivers are entering their payment details. |
Charging | Vehicle is plugged into the station and is actively being charged. |
Energy Transfer Stopped | The station was told to stop either because the vehicle requested it (e.g., battery full) or EV OS requested it (e.g., load management). The session remains active. |
Error | The connection between the vehicle and the station is lost, or the station has reported an error. If an error occurs during charging, the session will end immediately. Download the Station Downtime Report for details on the error. Learn more about downtime reasons here. |
Maintenance | The station has been put into Maintenance Mode on EV OS and is unavailable to drivers. If a driver scans the QR code, they will see the message: 'This station is currently under maintenance and cannot be used. Please use another station. |
Not in Service | Charger has lost internet connection and/or has been turned off. |
Reserved | The station has been set aside for a user and is unavailable to others until the reservation expires or charging begins. |
Complete | The vehicle has reached the target state of charge (SOC), and the station has stopped supplying power. |
Other | Unidentified status. Contact tech support for assistance. |
