Noodoe EV OS provides two Load Management strategies for managing the power available to EV charging stations:
- Group-based: Organizes charging stations according to the site’s electrical infrastructure, such as power panels and circuit breakers, and distributes the available power within each load group. This strategy is generally suitable for AC charging environments.
- Weekly Automatic: Applies a site-wide power limit based on a recurring weekly schedule. It is especially useful for sites with DC chargers or a combination of AC and DC chargers, as well as sites where the available power changes throughout the week.
This article explains the basic process for configuring Group-based Load Management in EV OS.

Before You Begin
Before configuring Group-based Load Management, prepare:
- A site electrical layout or blueprint.
- The amperage capacities of the site’s power panels and circuit breakers.
- Information about how each charging station is connected to the site’s electrical infrastructure.
- The phase connections used by the power panels, circuit breakers, and charging stations.
Important: The layout created in EV OS should accurately represent the site’s physical electrical infrastructure.

How to Configure Group-Based Load Management
Group-based setup is completed in stages. The available tabs change as each stage is completed:
- Build: Create the site’s electrical layout.
- Setup: Configure the capacity of the site, power panels, and circuit breakers.
- View and Edit: Monitor or update the configuration after it has been applied.
1. Build the Site’s Electrical Layout
- Sign in to EV OS.

From the left navigation menu, expand Energy Management, and then select Load Management.

Find and select the site you want to configure.

Select Group-based, and then select Start.

In the Build tab, use the + icons to create the site’s electrical structure.
A typical structure is:
Site → Power Panel → Breaker → Charging Station

Add power panels and circuit breakers according to the site’s physical electrical infrastructure, and assign each charging station to the appropriate breaker.
Note:
- A breaker can be added directly under the site or under a power panel.
- Charging stations can only be added through a breaker.
- Every charging station must be assigned to a breaker before the Build stage can be completed.
- Select the applicable phase connections when adding power panels and circuit breakers.
- AC and DC charging stations cannot share the same power panel.
- When the electrical layout is complete, select Save.
- In the confirmation window, select Apply.
After the layout is applied, the Setup tab becomes available.
2. Configure Capacity Settings

- Open the Setup tab.
- Select the site and enter its Max Capacity (A).
- Select Next.
- Configure the required settings for each power panel, and select Next after completing each one.

Configure the required settings for each breaker, and select Next after completing each one.

After all components have been configured, review the settings in Preview.
- To make changes, select Edit. To continue, select Apply.
- In the confirmation window, select Apply again to save the site configuration.
After the configuration is applied, the View and Edit tabs become available.
3. View or Edit the Configuration
Use the tabs to review or update the Group-based Load Management configuration:
- View: Displays the site’s electrical layout, component information, allocated load output, and real-time output.

Edit: Allows you to update the applicable Load Management settings.

How to Disable Load Management
To disable Load Management for the site:
- Open the site from the Load Management page.
- Select None.
- Select Save.
- In the confirmation window, select Apply.
When None is selected, EV OS no longer uses Load Management to limit the site’s charging output.
Important: Before disabling Load Management, confirm that the site’s electrical infrastructure can support the potential charging demand.
