Find quick answers to common questions about starting a charging session, pricing and payments, charging issues, and more.
Getting Started
1. How can I start charging? / What’s the pricing?
- You need to use your smartphone to scan the QR code on the charger to get started.
- If you’re using an iPhone, simply point your camera app at the QR code, and tap the notification prompt to launch the Noodoe EV mobile portal.
- If you’re using an Android phone, you need to use a QR code scanner app to scan the QR code. If you don’t have a QR code scanner app, please download the Noodoe app. After scanning the QR code, please tap the notification prompt to launch the Noodoe EV mobile portal.
- In the Noodoe EV mobile portal (Noodoe app), you’ll see the pricing information of the charging station. You could also follow the on-screen instructions to initiate the charging session.
2. How do I start charging?
- Scan the QR code on the front of the station, then follow the instructions to pay and start charging. An app is not necessary, and if you are using the Noodoe app, you can start charging on the "Charging" page by clicking "Get Started" and following the instructions.
3. How do I use or scan a QR code?
- Open the camera on your smartphone and point it at the QR code, then click the link that appears. This will open a mobile webpage to access pricing and begin charging.
Pricing & Payment
4. Pricing for the charger / Where can I find pricing information?
- Pricing information, including peak hour pricing and occupancy fees, is detailed on the web page when you scan the QR code on the charger. These prices are set by the charger owner.
5. How can I pay for charging?
- You can use your favorite credit card, or Apple Pay / Google Pay for payment.
- Note that if you choose to use Apple Pay (on iPhone) or Google Pay (on Android phone) as the payment method for the charging session, a temporary $50 pre-authorization fee is collected at the initial stage of the charging session, to make sure the account is valid.
- Once the charging session is complete, only the final charging session fee is collected, and the $50 pre-authorization fee is reversed back to the credit card immediately. But depending on bank processing time, it could take up to 7 days for the amount to be credited back to the credit card account.
6. Payment issue / Overcharged (e.g. Credit Card or Bank Account charged $50 (or some other amount))? Overcharged, billed for multiple attempts, incorrect payment, etc
- Preauthorization holds funds to validate payment, and is not an actual charge. The remainder is released after the session.
- For all other payment issues, please submit a ticket at help.noodoe.com or email techsupport@noodoe.com with the session ID included in your receipt, and an agent will review your issue.
7. Does the session fee include tax?
- If taxes are applicable in your charging location, tax is included and shown as a separate line item on your receipt.
During & After Charging
8. How do I know if the battery of my EV is fully charged?
- While initiating a charging session, you will be prompted to enter a mobile number for notification purposes. Noodoe EV OS will send a notification when the energy transfer to your EV stops.
- If you use the Noodoe App, you will receive a pop-up notification in the app.
9. What kind of charging notifications will I receive on my phone?
- You will receive notifications for the three scenarios below:
- When the charging session begins.
- When the energy transfer stops.
- When the charging session ends, i.e., the connector has been removed from the vehicle.
- The notifications mentioned above would be sent via text messages if you're not using the Noodoe app.
10. Is there a way to view my charging session history?
- For charging session initiation without the Noodoe app, you will get a text message with a link to the charging session info.
- If you've already downloaded the Noodoe app, you can go to Profile -> Charging History to see your charging session history.
11. How do I download my EV charging session receipt?
- If you're using the Noodoe app, go to Charging History to see all your previous charging sessions.
Charging Issues
12. The charger is offline, out of service, or the web page shows "This charger is unavailable" after scanning the QR code.
- The charger owner should already be notified via the software platform that this charger is offline. If this is a recurring issue, please bring this up with the charger owner so they can get in contact with us.
13. How do I unplug the charger? / The charging plug is stuck in my vehicle?
- Most vehicles allow you to unplug after the charging session is stopped and the vehicle is unlocked. If the charging plug is stuck, please refer to vehicle's documentation for how to manually release the charge port.
14. Why can't I charge my vehicle's battery past 80% (or another limit)?
- Some vehicles have a default charging limit or target charge level, and varies by vehicle. This can generally be changed, so please refer to your vehicle's documentation for more details.
Finding & Using Chargers
15. Where can I find another charger?
