Tools Necessary
- Torx T20 Screwdriver
- Laptop with ethernet capabilities, or with adapter for ethernet
- RJ45 Ethernet cable
Installing the SIM Card
NOTE: The unit should be powered off when handling the SIM.
Step 1
Disassemble the Top Cover and loosen the star screws (x5).
Step 2
Locate the SIM card socket.
Step 3
NOTE: The SIM Socket has a locking mechanism as shown:
- Push down the cover to open the SIM card socket.
- Prepare the SIM card. (Use a Micro SIM card, 15 mm x 12 mm)
- Insert the SIM card.
- Close the SIM card socket and push the cover in the locking direction to lock the cover.
- Reassemble the top cover. Please refer to the following torque guidelines. SIM card installation is complete.
Logging into the charger
Step 1
Connect the RJ45 cable to the charger. Connect the RJ45 cable to the laptop.
Step 2
Change your TCP/IP settings on your computer for automated IPv4 Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).

Step 3
Open a web browser and enter the AC7LC IP address: http://192.168.199.1.
Step 4
Login to the charger with the default credentials;

Setting the Carrier APN
Step 1
Navigate to Configuration > Communication Settings
Step 2
Scroll down to Cellular Settings. Set the Cellular APN appropriately. Click the Apply button at the bottom once complete.
Typical APN settings for Noodoe provided SIM cards are:

Step 3
Restart the charger. If SIM setup is successful, Cellular Signal Strength should show a value in dBm.
NOTE: After rebooting, the unit can take ~5 minutes to read the SIM ICCID, and another ~5 minutes to establish a signal strength.
